And the winner of Best Sister for March 2010 is...
Seriously. My sister is pretty great.
I asked her if she was going to bring home Sherlock Holmes or if I needed to buy it on Friday, and asked her if she was going to pick up the tulips she told me she bought me the other day and was having the nursery hold, and this is what she came home with. The movie, said tulips, mini bananas, and Ben & Jerry's Maple Blondie ice cream (which I keep talking about saying I want to try before they stop making it).
In the background you can see my pink kangaroo planter I got at the antique store on Monday. It's currently holding my good paintbrushes. I haven't had a chance to take any good pictures of the things my mom got me when we went antiquing the other day. There was so much more I wish I could have brought home with me.
I watched Sherlock Holmes earlier. Jude Law. Unf. I have always found him ridiculously attractive, but as Watson? My goodness. And I've never been so attracted to Robert Downey Jr.

San Antonio, TX Pt. 2 - WONDERLAND
I don't actually know what was going on that night, but I wish I had gone.

She...
Being productive on my trip.
At least on the way up here. I was hoping to get a lot more sewing done on the 9-hour drive to Austin, but I only managed to barely accomplish completing one gun.
Embroidery (and cursive) are not my strong points, but I think it came out well. The gun is really lovely. I will try to get some more/better pictures before it leaves my possession (if it does).

Busy busy busy!
I have way too much to do today!
This always happens to me. I should get in the bed right now and set my alarm for far too early. Going to SXSW tomorrow/Thursday. Austin is about 9 hours away and we'll be gone until Monday so I have to pack every little thing I could possibly need.
Every time I go on a trip I swear I'll pack the bare minimum. What's wrong with wearing the same thing every day? ;) I might actually go for that if I were not going to be in the same room as Zooey Deschanel! She is my ultimate girl-crush!
Today I have to go get a new drivers license, charge batteries, phones, and ipods, clean off camera cards, pack clothes, electronics, a book (that I most likely won't read), something to draw on/with, and my sewing kit. I also need to pre-cut some felt shapes for sewing so I don't have to take a 3-foot stack of felt with me to Texas. This really doesn't look like too much when written, but I'm a master procrastinator.
Going to get ready for bed, I suppose, and finish watching Secret Window. I needed a Johnny Depp fix.

Went to see Alice In Wonderland tonight with Cecelia because she hadn't seen it yet. Trying to kill time before the movie we stopped at the bookstore and I picked up a copy of Nylon and some new moleskines. I love kraft paper. My sketchbooks are kraft paper with cardboard covers. My mailers for my Etsy sales are kraft paper. J'adore!
I love the new Alice movie. I know he's extremely bizarre-looking in the film, but I cannot help but have a terrible terrible crush on the Hatter. I'd like one for my very own! ♥
Back to Elvis westerns I go!
